As your State Representative, here’s what you can count on me fighting for

Ensuring Every Georgian can Thrive by:

  • Bolstering small business and providing economic opportunity

  • Fully expanding Medicaid and ensuring health care accessibility, including safe abortion care

  • Workforce incentives to fill our gaps in healthcare, emergency services and education.

  • Creating affordable housing opportunities

  • Improving public safety for all

My family and I remember how life changed overnight during the ‘08 recession. We were fortunate enough to find solutions to keep our small real estate law firm operating, but it wasn’t easy. In order to foster a sustainable economy, we have to invest in the backbone of our infrastructure: our small businesses. We have to continue to offer incentives to fill workforce gaps in order to provide our communities with vital services. But we also cannot wait any longer for quality, accessible health care and affordable housing. And we must provide more training and support for our law enforcement while also requiring accountability so every Georgian feels safe in their community.

A Safer, Healthier, Sustainable Georgia by:

  • Fully funding our public schools and pre-K

  • Protecting fundamental health freedoms and our doctors

  • Advancing racial justice and decreasing massive inequities

  • Addressing gun violence as a public health crisis

  • Investing in green energy to tackle climate change

As a mom of three, I am fiercely protective of my childrens’ wellbeing. Consequently, I am terrified of their futures at the hands of conservative partisanship. When half of our counties have no OB-GYN, when 60 out of 159 of our counties have no pediatrician, this bipartisan fighting not only lacks business sense for our State, but it also lacks dignity.

Secondly, our kids deserve to feel safe at school. We all deserve to feel safe at the grocery store and where we worship. So let’s address gun violence for what it is: a public health crisis. In addition to on-site modifications to school facilities, technologies, protocols, and training, a successful solution must include common sense gun safety laws and greater access to mental/behavioral health services.

Lastly, climate change is real, and it is right at our doorstep. As global warming intensifies, the Atlanta area continues to experience record-breaking heat waves that demand renewable energy in order to keep our environment safe and our bills cost-effective for our families. We must explore creative solutions to reduce carbon emissions and expand public transit options. I will advocate for these green solutions.

A Fair Election System for Georgians that:

  • Expands access to the ballot box for all eligible voters

  • Properly trains and staffs all polling locations

  • Allows for same-day voter registration

  • Ensures the most secure and auditable method to vote

As an attorney, I have a fiduciary duty to serve with my client’s best interests in mind. Government should function in the same regard. Our 2020 election resulted in bold efforts to overturn the will of the voters, deny the peaceful transfer of power, and spread conspiracy theories that damaged Americans’ trust in elections. This prompted extensive and unnecessary changes to our elections processes in the name of security, but really this legislation has just suppressed voters access. Less time in between the general and runoff elections makes it challenging for college students to get their absentee ballots submitted in time. Fewer drop boxes that are now only available during polling location hours eliminates access to voters who work during the day. The state legislature continues to pass bills that exponentially increase election costs, but then eliminate grant and third-party funding, leaving County taxpayers to bear the burden. Making our elections transparent and secure should always be a priority, but election integrity experts endorse hand-marked paper ballots, more robust, risk-limiting audits and prosecuting thefts of election software.
